Local Man Organises a One Night Only Tribute Act Performance for Charity

Written by on June 11, 2022

A local fundraiser is hosting a charity event in aid of Parkinson’s UK and Leukaemia UK. Andrew Anniwell will be holding the event on Saturday 9th July 2022 at Rushden Athletic Club and will be a night filled with some amazing performances from Simon Mark as Peter Kay, and Kirk Johnstone as Olly Murs.

This is not the first charity endeavour from Andrew, who took part in his first major fundraiser in 2014. Andrew has completed many challenges including the London2Brighton walk in 2014 and a 250-mile cycle ride in 2018.

His fundraising efforts began after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2010 and has since raised between £5000 and £6000 for charity. However, due to the progression of his illness, he is no longer able to complete the physical challenges that he used to, but this didn’t stop him.

Andrew decided that he wanted to continue his charity work despite his physical ailments and wanted to organise an event that people could come and enjoy while raising money for two amazing causes.

On the night you can expect not only these fabulous performances but also a raffle where you can win a range of prizes including a Leicester City King Power Stadium tour for four people, a signed Frank Bruno book, a Team-Sport Go Karting voucher, cream tea for two at Rushden Hall and much more.

Tickets are £20 per adult and £10 for those aged 16 and under. They are on sale now and can be found at www.ticketebo.co.uk/athletic-club-rushden/for-one-night-only.html

There is also an option for those who wish to donate but cannot attend the event, which can be found through the same link. For any further information or to find out how else you can get involved, e-mail andrewanniwell@yahoo.co.uk
