In 2022 Shire Sounds Radio’s legal entity rebranded as Play Radio Group, a 21st century radio station management group which aims to bring back local radio to areas that need it most. This group looks after Shire Sounds Radio (North Northamptonshire) and Radio Rewind (National)
In 2023 we continued to expand our format, by launching a second national station – Radio Rewind – which branded as The UKs Home of the Throwback Hits! In line with this, Shire Sounds Radio rebranded to North Northamptonshire’s Home of the Hits!Â
